One of the most acclaimed ambient artists of the 2000s and 2010s, Kyle Bobby Dunn composes sparse, serene drone pieces for guitar as well as orchestral instruments. His lengthy albums, sometimes lasting two or three hours each, are filled with meditative, hypnotic compositions that barely change, inhabiting a mood which is at once melancholy and numbly blissful. The majestic, reflective nature of Dunn's work is offset by his self-deprecating sense of humor and irreverent titles
